MY MOTHER HATES ME

My life is more than stressed at my age. I was born and taken care of by my mother until I was seven years old. That was when my mother got married for the first time.
Her school boyfriend, Jacob was an intelligent boy who was desired by all students of both sexes. He was tall and lanky. He has a baritone voice that breaks every barrier from people. When he is sad and wish to express it, you may weep for him as his voice used to command feelings.
My mother, Bunmi, was one of those who fell for him. She adored him and would do anything he asked her to do. One of those things he did for him was my pregnancy. According to my mother, she was even delighted when she was pregnant for him and damned the consequences of her father’s reaction. And she was ready to bear a son for this wonderful young genius. As she put it, “I thought the child I bear for him shall be a genius too since I was struggling to grasp what was taught to me.”
Jacob was also in love with my mother and would wish to marry her if not for my grandfather who insisted his daughter must continue with her education. He took upon himself my early upbringing. My mother was by now no longer in education but little did her father know. She was not attending classes as her thought was always centering on Jacob, his whereabouts and health. More than often, she used to run out from the dormitory and went across three cities to see her heartthrob. She got it all wrong as she was pregnant again and went on to abort.
The abortion almost claimed her life but at the last minute of her mother’s intervention. She has a thorough clean up in the hospital and after that, she told her parents she was no longer interested in her studies. My grandfather was so disappointed and had no more interest in whatever she was doing. My grandmother sends her out to learn a trade for herself which she agreed just to escape from domestic chores.
I was then three years old when she came home with a man she said wanted to marry her. My grandparents rejected the man because he had married three times and divorce the same number of times. My mother made serious trouble with her parents that they had no option than to allow her to get out of their lives. That marriage did not last for twelve months and she was back to her father’s house.
Her insubordination was becoming alarming and that was how my grandparents prayed for another man whom will be able to tolerate her. And God answered their prayers when my stepfather came for her. He loves her so much and he in turn, loves me. But I find it difficult to know my crime against my mother in relations to what happened between her and my real father. Whenever I do something shed did not like, I receive terrible beating which my stepfather most often rebuke her.
My stepfather loves me like his son and treats me with respect and care. Please readers, I want you to help me because I want to run away from my mother and she has refused to let me meet with my biological father. Please help me. Charlie.

God Endless Mercies

Do not allow the names and location discourage you from reading this. It might just be a tonic for you.

Hello, I'm Joe Whitchurch. We may have met just recently. Yet it is possible I may not have had time to share with you the most wonderful thing that has EVER happened to me. And it is such a Huge thing, that I've written this little booklet to freely summarize it for you, and to not bore you with the details, should you have already concluded that people with little booklets are, well...'out there'. Smile. That's what I'd think too, unless I heard this information and knew the intentions of the one sharing it with me were not manipulative, or sales oriented. Thanks for taking a minute to read this tiny book with Huge news. First off, this is not about me, though at the risk of sounding like a bit of a primadonna, I will start there. The truth is, I should never have been allowed to attend college. I barely graduated from High School. I was suspended from school a couple times while my father was on the school board. I did not fit in with the jocks, the brains, or the marching band. However I did get in a rock band with guys 3-5 years older than I was, and that probably saved my self esteem in High School. We were offered an opportunity to jam with a local band that would have two members later become a group called Cheap Trick. We never did, because we thought we were 'too cool.' At one rock concert our band, backed up REO Speedwagon. I was a typical pothead and a promoter of a predatory mentality toward the opposite sex, and a promoter of drugs, vandalism, and nihilism. I got to see friends I 'turned on', have their lives go very sour. Some of these never recovered. "Great", you say, "today I met a guy who is kind of a contagious, Loser." Relax. In a recent episode of ER they asked the question, "Do you think a person can really change?" ER seemed to think it possible. Please hang in there with me a bit longer. In the drug scene I was looking for transcendence; something bigger than the all important and overly celebrated, Self. In the rock culture I was looking for competence musically and belonging. In promiscuity I was looking for love. My heroes; Jim Morrison of the Doors, and Jimi Hendrix, seemed to have everything but ended up dead, apparently of their own lifestyle choices. In the peace movement, I was looking for morality and a cause that I could endorse. A life purpose of a sort that wouldn't cost much and would make me look like a decent guy. I gave up on the church I grew up in after a rock band I was in played "GD the Pusher Man" over and over again, to the accolades of the sweet minister who cared more for popularity than for his God's name. All I remember hearing in that church was to 'be good.' And the good, just wasn't in me. The minister did not believe the Bible but sometimes quoted it like any piece of poetry, or saying. He was 'hip' in his day, but sadly, he was also hollow. It was my late in high school and early in my freshman year in college when I really began seriously reflecting on the meaning of my life and some radical information Roy, a neighbor shared with me. Until then, I had felt the church was full of 'yesterday's news', celebrating a dead hero who was somehow 'an example to us all.' I had dead heroes, and from my reading, this hero seemed more like a hippie than the stale church folk. It seemed my parents only attended because that is what the 'good' people do. And I was confused about church as a subculture. Roy shared some startling news with me. He told me that Jesus Christ is going to come back to this earth again! That the world is rightly His! This threatened my, "I'm going to be a famous rock star" fantasy destiny. Frankly, I got high repeatedly in an attempt to cope with what I was reading in the Bible, a book called "World Aflame" by Billy Graham, and "The Late Great Planet Earth" by Hal Lindsay. Later books like "Mere Christianity" by the pipe smoking Clive S. Lewis, and the writings of a bearded American philosopher living in a commune in the Swiss Alps, named Dr. Francis Schaeffer, would challenge my personal nihilism. The good news was that I was indeed correct in my awareness of the hopeless and helpless condition I was in. This condition was well deserved for the chaos we, and all of humanity have consistently chosen. Yet the way-huge news is that the Jesus character who died, actually died to pay the death penalty I deserve for my sin. No kidding! The most significant human in history, died for Joe Whitchurch. And he alone of all historical figures, actually conquered death physically after being dead three days! And He is in fact God, the second person of the Holy Trinity AND He is coming back to earth someday soon. Is that awesome or what!?! Over a time span of three months of active listening to Bible teaching in the Jesus Movement of the early 70s and from several different churches who DID believe the Bible, a light was turned on inside of my very lost head. You see, Jesus said "He who comes to Me, I will never cast out." When I realized He had first loved me, and had been pursuing me, I realized that I could trust Him fully with no need of any backup plan. That was the day I began telling people about Him, and the day He began putting together my heart, and mind into a sane whole. I am far from perfect. But I am not the man I was. If He could and would do that for me, I can hardly imagine what He might do for you. Please give your life completely and unreservedly to His kind purposes. It's about where your First Love is located. For me the paradigm shift was not loving myself and my music first, but God Himself for what He had done for me through Jesus Christ. To know Him one need only Repent (turn from putting 'self 1st' to God 1st), Rely on what Christ alone has done (dying for our sin personally and conquering death physically, which is celebrated at Easter), and Receive Him by asking Him to come into our life and make us new from the inside out. Once you've prayed and done that, Resolving to follow Him as Lord is easier. That's it. Nothing to buy or sell. The best aspect of Life, really turns out to be incredibly free! Thanks for reading this little book. God has done great things for me. I'd love to hear your response.
If you read this online, just hit the back key or arrow to return. If you got here from my web page bio page, you can check out what God has been doing in my life since He rescued me. It has been no small adventure. Joe B.

TWO HEART TOUCHING STORIES

Story 1:
There was once this guy who was very much in love with his girl.
This romantic guy folded 1,000 pieces of paper cranes as a
gift to his girl.

Although, at that time he was just a small fry in his company, his
future didn't seem too bright, they were very happy together. Until one day,
his girl told him she was going to Paris and will never come back. She also told
him that she cannot visualize any future for the both of them, so they went their own ways
there and then...
Heartbroken, the guy agreed. But when he regained his confidence, he
worked hard day and night, slogging his body and mind just to make something out of
himself.

Finally with all the hard work and the help of friends, this guy had
set up his own company ..

You never fail until you stop trying. One rainy day, while this guy was
driving, he saw an elderly
couple sharing an umbrella in the rain walking to some destination. Even
with the umbrella, they
were still drenched. It didn't take him long to realize they were his
girl's parents. With a heart
in getting back at them, he drove slowly beside the couple, wanting them
to spot him in his luxury
sedan. He wanted them to know that he wasn't the same any more; he had
his own company, car, condo, etc.

He made it! What he saw next confused him, the couple was walking
towards a cemetery, and so he got out
of his car and followed...and he saw his girl, a photograph of her
smiling sweetly as ever at him from
her tombstone and he saw his paper cranes right beside her...

Her parents saw him. He asked them why this had happened. They
explained, she did not leave for France at all.
She was ill with cancer. She had believed that he will make it someday,
but she did not want to be
his obstacle... therefore she had chosen to leave him. Just because
someone doesn't love you the way you
want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. She
had wanted her parents to put
his paper cranes beside her, because, if the day comes when fate brings
him to her again...he can take some

of those back with him... Once you have loved, you will always love. For
what's in your mind may escape but what's in your heart will remain forever.

The guy just wept......The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting
right beside her knowing you can't have her,
see her or be with her ever again....... ..hope you understand. Find
time to realise that there is one person
who means so much to you, for you might wake up one morning losing that
person who you thought meant nothing to you.

KINDNESS Pays !

Story 2

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his
way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry.

He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house.

However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door.
Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water.

She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large
glass of milk He drank it slowly, and then asked,  "How much do I owe you?"
"You don't owe me anything," she replied "Mother has taught us never to
accept payment for a kindness."
He said...  "Then I thank you from my heart."

As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt; stronger physically,
but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.

Years later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors
were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare

disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation.

When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled
his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her
room. Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her.

He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation
room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave
special attention to the case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the
business office to pass the final bill to him for approval.

He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent
to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for
it all. Finally, she looked, and something caught her attention on the side as she read these
words......
"Paid in full with one glass of milk."
 (Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.

Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You,
GOD, that Your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands."

A huge rescue operation has managed to
save more than 368 people including
hundreds of terrified high school children
from a sinking South Korean passenger
ferry after half the ship began dangerously
submerging into the sea on Wednesday.
At least two people - an employee of the
boat company and a student - were killed
and 14 passengers were injured as the ship
sank, officials confirmed.
Dozens of boats, helicopters and divers
scrambled to rescue more than 470 people
were were aboard the 6,825-ton ferry.
Officials said 164 people have been rescued
so far, but the South Korean coast guard
fear the number of casualties could rise as
they continue to drag passengers out of the
water.
The ferry was sailing to the southern island
of Jeju when it sent a distress call
Wednesday morning after it began leaning
to one side, according to the Ministry of
Security and Public Administration.
Coast guard footage showed the vessel

the ship was submerged.

The Ministry of Security and Public
Administration named 27-year-old woman
Park Ji-yeong, a female employee of the
boat operator and high school student
Jeong Cha Woong as the victims, according
to Bloomberg .
One of the officers - both of whom spoke on
condition of anonymity citing department
rules - said 368 passengers had been
rescued so far, but gave no further details,

UK:Mother-of-two who has never worked

Mother-of-two who has

she could get a council
house and have an 'easy life
on benefits'

Sinead Clarkson, 36, fell pregnant
when she was 15 and has never
worked
She lives in a three-bed council
house and gets £1,200 a month in
benefits
Ms Clarkson claims the benefits
system makes it pointless for her to
work
She admits she has encouraged her
daughters to also 'work the system'
Ms Clarkson's eldest daughter
Melissa, 19, is now six months
pregnant
An unemployed mother who has never had
a job has now encouraged her daughter to
get pregnant - so she can also enjoy 'an
easy life' on benefits.
Mother-of-two Sinead Clarkson, 36, has
been claiming benefits for the last 20 years
and currently receives £1,200 a month in
state handouts.
Ms Clarkson, from Rochdale, Greater
Manchester, has now admitted she
encouraged her 19-year-old daughter
Melissa to have a baby so she can do the
same.
She claimed: 'I am better off on benefits. I
refuse to work for a pittance and struggle.'
But her outspoken defence of life on
benefits was condemned both by a
psychologist and by the TaxPayers'
Alliance.
Ms Clarkson said she was delighted when
her oldest daughter Melissa fell pregnant
six months ago as she will get an extra
£400 a month when her baby is born in
July.
Melissa will also receive keys to a two-
bedroom council house.
Ms Clarkson's younger daughter Amie, 12,
is also showing signs of wanting to follow
in her sister's footsteps and have a child.
Ms Clarkson said: 'I don't have any
qualifications so it is easier to claim money
than persuade an employer to give me a
job.
'I told Melissa to work the system and have
a baby so she could claim more benefits,
get a house of her own and have a better
life. I don't want her to work for peanuts in
a low-pay job.'
Ms Clarkson claims living on benefits
brings a stress-free life.
She said: 'Being on benefits suits me. I
don't have the stress of working like some
of my friends. I spend a lot of time cooking
and cleaning, or I will watch TV or have
friends round.'
While Ms Clarkson acknowledges taxpayers
may be angered by her comments, she
insists it is the benefit system at fault for
making it more financially worthwhile not
to work.
She adds: 'I know people will be angry with
my choices, but they should not judge.  It is
the system's fault that I can choose not to
work.  What is the point of having a job if I
can't earn much more than I get now?

MAN WHO HAD 30 KIDS WITH 11 WOMEN OVERWHELMED BY CHILD SUPPORT.

You have to say this much for Desmond Hatchett: He has a way with the ladies.

The 33-year-old Knoxville, Tenn., resident has reportedly set a Knox County record for his ability to reproduce. He has 30 children with 11 women. And nine of those children were born in the last three years, after Hatchett — who is something of a local celebrity — vowed “I’m done!” in a 2009 TV interview, saying he wouldn’t father more children.

But Hatchett is back in the news this week because he’s struggling to make ends meet on his minimum-wage job. His inability to make child-support payments on such a meager salary also means he’s back in court again and again, most recently to ask for a break on those payments.

“Yes, we’ve got several cases with Mr. Hatchett,” Melissa Gibson, an assistant supervisor with the Knox County child support clerk’s office, said with a sigh.

Hatchett’s attorney, Keith Pope, did not return phone calls seeking comment.

Under the law, there’s nothing officials can do to force Hatchett to keep his pants on.

“If there’s something out there like that, I’m unaware of it,” Gibson told The Times, before adding, “It definitely needs to be.”

Gibson said Hatchett is believed to hold the Knox County record for most children. (He’d hold a similar record in most counties in the U.S., which might explain why news of his predicament was pinging around the Internet on Friday.)

Gibson said she couldn’t say whether any of his children receive public assistance. The youngest is a toddler; the oldest is 14. Asked in a TV interview whether he can “keep up with it all,” Hatchett said he knows all their names, ages and birth dates.

Also in a TV interview, Hatchett tried to explain — in a PG-rated way how he managed to end up with so many kids: “I had four kids in the same year. Twice.”

When Hatchett is working, he is required to turn over 50% of his wages for child support — the maximum allowed under law. Child support payments are based in part on the ages and needs of the children.

Some of the mothers of Hatchett’s children get only $1.49 a month, reported  WREG in Memphis.

NIGERIA:Gang-Raped Girl, Gang-Raped Justice

EXCLUSIVE: Gang-Raped Girl, Gang-Raped Justice: How Nigeria Police Forced Victim To Free ‘Rapists’
Betty Abah - 11 hours agoINVESTIGATION/SPECIAL REPORTS, NEWS

Four boys raped her. Yet, there is no justice for her as the police allegedly forced her to free the rapists.
The Agbado-Oja community in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State is just a sleepwalking distance away from the ever-bustling Ishaga area of Lagos. Despite its proximity to the “Centre of Excellence”, the community typifies an eloquent statement in rustic retrogression — a place where poverty walks on all fours, clothed in the tattered attire of naked, running children, rundown ancient buildings and filth-filled streets.
But poverty is not the only thing that reigns unfettered here. The diabolic mixture of sexual abuse and ignorance appears to be equally holding sway.
Hawawu (full name withheld), the 16 year-old daughter of a struggling bricklayer and an apprentice tailor, recently became the latest victim of the rape virus currently running wild in the community. But in addition, there was the shocking, seeming police complicity in the brutal crime.
As the story goes, on the evening of March 30, Hawawu received a call from her male friend, Adeleke, for a meeting in his house. The previous day, Adeleke, a young man for whom Hawawu reportedly had a soft spot, had arrived in the tailoring shop opposite her house where she resumed apprenticeship two years ago, and a year after she dropped out of Primary Three at the nearby AC Community Primary School. Adeleke, in the company of two other boys, reportedly invited her to an event holding in his house. After the repeated call on Sunday evening, she left for his house. On getting there, Hawawu was said to be initially reluctant entering. Shortly after, Adeleke and three of his friends dragged her into his room after which four of them allegedly took turns raping her.
Later that night, they were said to have dragged the now half-conscious girl writhing in pains all the way down the staircases in the storey building then dumped her in front of her ramshackle house on 4, Isanmi Street in the Adubo-Agopani area of Agbado-Oja.

Hawawu’s father Yinusa Olarenwaju
Her father, Yinusa Olarenwaju, 43, was alerted by neighbours and he took her into the derelict, one room, face-me-I-face-you apartment, a sort of a boys quarters arrangement left to him by his father. It is this room with the brownish and wrinkled roofs falling off, and where he had shared with the victim and her younger sister, Amina, 13, since their mother, Tawa, left him about a decade ago, that he took his dying daughter into.
It was 11p.m. and, as usual, Mr. Olarenwaju was down and out and with no transport easily in site, he tried ‘managing’ the traumatized girl till the next day.
On Monday morning, a weeping Mr. Olarenwaju headed for the palace of the Baale (local chief), Sunday Oyeogun, to report the matter.
“After Hawawu’s father reported, I immediately summoned the parents of the accused boys,” Mr. Oyeogun told this reporter recently.
But rather than look out for the victim to extend to her the much needed medical care, they allegedly ‘gathered’ N200, 000 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira) and brought to the Baale to ‘kill’ the case. According to him, he refused and directed that the girl be treated as a matter of urgency before any other discussion.
He also, he said, advised the victim’s father to report the case at the Divisional Police Headquarters in the area.
Thereafter, a certain Alaba, a police officer attached to the Juvenile, Women and Children’s Unit, was assigned the case as the Investigating Police Officer (IPO).
That was where the case took a dangerous turn.

NIGERIA: Woman to die for committing homicide

Maiduguri, Borno State – A 25-year-old woman, Hauwa Ayuba, has been sentenced to death by hanging for committing culpable homicide and further attempts to cause more deaths.

A Borno State High Court Judge, Alkali Gana Wakil, said the convict who was brought to his court on four-count charges, had killed two daughters of her husband’s younger brother by forcing them to ingest poisoned.

She had also on the same day, cut off the private parts of one of the girls’ four-year-old son after who had also ingested the poisoned substance and also freely used a machete to cut the mother of the children until she fainted.

Aisha who was brought before Justice Wakil about four months ago, had not uttered a single word during the entire trial period, but kept on sobbing all the while.

Justice Gana who delivered his ruling while the convict still wept profusely said “other than crying, she does not impress me as someone who is remorseful.”

SaharaReporters has just learned that suspected members of the Islamist militant group, Boko Haram, have abducted 103 students in a daring raid at the Girls Secondary School in Chibok, a town on the border between Borno and Adamawa States.

The group’s assault on the all-female high school took place on Monday night. A security source disclosed that members of the extremist Islamist group killed a soldier guarding the school and inflicted injuries on several villagers before abducting the students.

The police commissioner in Borno State, Lawan Tanko, confirmed the kidnapping of the students to reporters in the state.

A source who lives near the school told a correspondent of SaharaReporters that there was complete chaos during the attack, adding that the students could put up no resistance to the heavily armed attackers.

The mass abduction lasted between 9PM -3 AM as sect members made several trips picking and choosing their victims out of the 250 students enrolled in the school.

Residents of the area also told Saharareporters that  the militants  razed 100 homes because some of the residents initially resisted the militants.

Mommy, please don’t let me die’ – More horrific details of Abuja bomb attack emerge

More horrific details have emerged of the explosion which occurred yesterday in Nyanya near the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The attack, which resulted in massive casualty, is said to have left many citizens dead and scores more severely injured.

Eyewitnesses and survivors have told their stories of the terrible experience and it is a sad story indeed.

One account tells of a 15-year-old boy who was heard crying out in pain, ‘Mummy, mummy, don’t let me die’ after his legs were shattered by the blast.

Reports have it that the source of the explosion was a red Volkswagen vehicle which was parked in front of two buses filled with passengers.

The drivers of the buses were said to have objected to the Volkswagen being parked in front of them as they were blocked in but the driver of the erring vehicle allegedly replied saying he only wanted to get change for his ‘passengers’.

The Volkswagen reportedly exploded 5 minutes after the driver and his “passengers’” exited it. The death toll from the attack is said to be in its hundreds but no official figure has been arrived at.

NIGERIA:Security Forces Identify Abuja Bomber

BREAKING NEWS: Security Forces Identify Abuja Bomber, Body Recovered

By Senator Iroegbu in Abuja

The Counter-Terrorism Unit (CTU) of the Nigerian security forces may have identified and recovered the body of the suspected bomber, who set-off the bomb at the Nyanya bus park in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), that led to death of 71 persons and injured 124 others on Monday morning.

Information made available to THISDAY from security sources confirmed that the slightly charred body of the bomber was identified and recovered yesterday with the charms and amulets he must have used for self-protection, still strapped to his body.

The charms and amulets are typical of the type used by members of the terrorist group Boko Haram.

According to security sources, certain leads including a mobile phone were also recovered from his body.

Also, security forces informed THISDAY that they are working on two theories as to how the bomber planted and detonated the bomb: the first is that the bomber may have driven a bomb-laden red Volkswagen Golf car to the bus park and walked away before the explosion.

The second is that suspected bomber may have walked into the bus park with the bomb concealed in a large jute bag (popularly known in Nigeria as “Ghana-must-go bags”), which was dropped close to the commuter buses.

Either way, security forces said that the suspected bomber, having conveyed the bomb to its destination, walked away to a location at the bus park where he ostensibly waited for the bomb to explode.

But unknown to him, he did not give enough distance between himself and his deadly parcel and like other innocent Nigerians that he had set out to kill, was also killed by the impact of the explosion.

One security official explained that the fact that his body was not dismembered or charred beyond recognition like others who were killed instantly by the blast, might have stemmed from the fact that he was not as close to the epicentre of the explosion as the commuters who had boarded buses at the park.

NIGERIA:“Assassination Attempt On My Life”

“Assassination Attempt On My Life” Says Civil Rights Lawyer Who Stopped Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge Tollgate
Apr, 15 2014, 7:04AM — siteadmin

By Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa
On Monday, April 14, 2014, at about 3a.m, armed men stormed my house, at Plots 1-3, Ebun-Olu Adegbouruwa Lane, Itedo, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. They were about eight of them in number. They were well armed with short guns. They scaled through my fence, tied my security man and my driver, at my gatehouse. They asked if the compound belonged to Adegboruwa, if Adegboruwa had a mobile police guard, if Adegboruwa lived alone or had tenants, and whether my neighbour had policemen on patrol.

They then started to demolish my window burglaries, they scaled upstairs to my terrace, to break into my living room upstairs, by which time I had already called for help, from the neighbours and from the police. They then tried to gain entrance into my kitchen downstairs, without success. They then descended upon my security man and driver, beat them up mercilessly and started uprooting my burglary with the heavy instruments that they brought. It was at this point that the police arrived, but the police could not gain entrance into my compound, because my security man had been tied. I saw the armed men myself from my location upstairs. They looked very mean and determined, possibly not the usual armed robbers after material things.

I do believe that this was an assassination attempt upon my life, by the enemies of the people of the masses of Nigeria, and in particular the good people of Lagos State, in the Lekki-Ajah axis. One of my neighbours has since confirmed that he actually saw a car that dropped off these armed men around my fence at about2a.m. They were sent on specific instructions.

Nigerians will recall that on March 27, 2014, the Federal High Court, Lagos, delivered judgement in my case with Lagos State to the extent that collection of toll fee on the Lekki Ikoyi bridge is illegal. It was just yesterday, Monday April 14, 2014, that I argued against the request by Lagos State, to stay the execution of the said judgment. Thus, this is just a case of the witch cried yesterday and the child died today.

I believe that those who have vested interests in the continued collection of the illegal toll fee are at the bottom of this assassination attempt, as a way of discouraging me or stopping my legitimate struggle against illegality, oppression and all undemocratic tendencies of our governments. I will not give up on this struggle, no matter the intimidation and harassment, that I may face. It is a cause that cannot be stopped.

Consequently, I call on Nigerians to hold the Lagos State Government and all those who have vested interests in the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge toll fee, responsible for any harm that may come my way. Our government must be open to legitimate opposition and transparency in their affairs. It is not by attempting to snuff the life out of people, that government will escape its statutory accountability to the people. My life is in the hands of God, therefore I do not fear what man can do to me. I know that ultimately, those who are now after my life, will one day face the Supreme Court of God, where they will have to account for all their misdeeds, including their corruption and misgovernance.

This struggle will continue, because I know that victory is certain, through God.

Thank you all.

There was confusion in Nchoko Amiri community, Oru East local council area of Imo State, recently when mysterious swarm of bees stung an 83-year old woman, Madam Nwanyiaro Orji to death.

Vanguard reports that, the late Madam Orji went to use the toilet located at the back of the family house when she was attacked by the mysterious insects.

An eyewitness who gave his name as Joe, said they initially thought the noise came from a bunch of ripe bread fruit tree at the backyard.

He said, “The angry bees, which its home had been dislodged, started stinging everybody within the vicinity, including the aged woman’s step-son, who was in the kitchen at the time.”

He added: “This did not work as the aged woman was not agile enough to scamper for safety with her step-son. The boy hurriedly left the scene.”

It was gathered that some youth later organised themselves, bought some cans of insecticide, wrapped themselves properly and dislodged the bees.
Joe said, “After winning the battle against the bees, the young men rescued the old woman and quickly rushed her to a nearby private hospital, where the medical team did everything possible to save her life. The woman died the next day.”

According to Kasali, Baba Alhaja called the police but before the police got to the estate, Ahmed Balogun who resides at 27 Adebayo Oduntola Drive had been killed by the robbers.

“When the robbers came to my house they broke the front door and robbed my children who were sleeping in the first room before they forced my door open and asked me why I did not open the door by myself .

“Before I knew what was happening, they used a rod to hit my head. All my children’s money, phones and jewellery were collected. But I still thank God that nobody was killed except my neighbour,” Kasali explained.

Narrating how Balogun was killed this morning,  Kasali said as soon as Balogun came out of his house he was shot once.

“One of the robbers said ‘kill him’ and he was shot the second time, which means the robbers knew him,” Kasali said.

Another resident who craved for anonymity, appealed to the Area Commander in charge of Sango Police Area Command, Mr. Titilayo Kayode, and the Ogun State Police Commissioner, Mr. Joseph Okoye, to provide adequate security for residents of the estate.

When P.M.NEWS visited Ajuwon Police Station Tuesday morning, some of the victims were seen writing statements about the attack.
